Our new Wellness Director, Angela Reteguiz, LPN, has come to The Regency from Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip where she worked in the urology department. Angela has spent the last 7 years working as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the aging community. She is an advocate for healthcare, research and awareness for many causes. Angela has spent the last 17 years as a volunteer coach for the Suffolk County, NY and Milford, PA Special Olympics State Champion Swim Teams, on which her twin brother is a record holding swimmer. She is also a 6th year walker in the 39.3 mile Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. She is a member of the Wellness Warriors who, over the last 10 years, have raised over $780,000 for breast cancer awareness. Outside of the medical field, Angela enjoys the creative and performing arts. She is a photographer and artist with experience painting, sculpting, drawing and mixed media arts. Angela is also a musician. She is a mobile DJ, plays 11 instruments and is a classically trained vocalist. She performs in musicals at the Noel Ruiz Theater of the CM Performing Arts Center as well as cabarets and variety shows throughout Suffolk and Nassau Counties.
