The Regency’s Executive Chef Pat Marone Visits the Port Washington Senior Center

On Tuesday, August 4th, The Regency’s Award Winning Executive Chef, Pat Marone mixed up something sweet and delicious for the seniors at Port Washington Senior Center in Manorhaven.
Port Washington Senior CenterThe Regency’s Chef Pat is very well known locally because he often volunteers to do some of his much loved “Cooking Italian for Seniors” demonstrations for various senior groups and organizations in the area. Usually he makes mouthwatering pasta dishes or blends up heart healthy smoothies. On this occasion however, he decided to do something extra special. Something everyone loves – Dessert! Chef Pat showed Dorothy Quinn and her seniors how he makes his incredible homemade cannoli filling. He discussed the best type of Ricotta to use and all of the necessary ingredients. He also demonstrated how to use a pastry bag and how to fill all of the cannolis. And of course the best part of the demonstration was eating the cannolis... What a treat! Afterwards, Chef Pat and Community Relations Director, Jennifer Barrett raffled off some prizes along with all of the extra cannoli cream and shells for a very lucky senior to take home for an extra special treat for their whole family! Chef Pat’s delicious, flavorful recipes and desserts make everyday a special occasion at The Regency.
