The residents of The Regency at Glen Cove Assisted Living were treated to some very special visitors last week.  The Sunshine Pre-K from Harbor Child Care in Glen Head came to spread some holiday cheer.  The children, who ranged in age from 3 to 5 years old, sang some of their favorite holiday tunes for everyone.  Some of the songs they performed were Jingle Bells, The Dreidel Song and, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.  The residents’ faces really lit up while they were clapping and singing along.
The children also gave out cards and cookies to everyone and played instruments as well.  They did a fantastic job!  Many of them were asked to name some of the items on their Christmas Lists.  Puppies and iPads were at the top of many of them!  The children’s energy and excitement was highly contagious.  Both the children and the residents really enjoyed the visit.  Jennifer Barrett, Regency Director of Community Relations remarked, “Children and the holidays just go together.  Seeing them immediately brings you back to when you were that age and how excited you used to be”.  The Regency thanks Harbor Child Care for visiting and is looking forward to seeing them again soon.  For more information about The Regency please visit our website at www.theregencyatglencove.com.
