On December 27th the family of Catherine Saccente held a memorial service at The Regency at Glen Cove in her honor. Catherine passed away in October at the age of 85.
Catherine was President of The Regency’s Resident Council for two years. She was also the leader of the knitting club and enjoyed crocheting scarves and hats for children at St. Jude’s and Cohen Children’s Medical Center. Regency residents and dear friends spoke of cherished memories of Catherine and recalled how she was always so caring and helpful. Her daughter and son-in-law enjoyed reminiscing with her family at The Regency and presented a beautiful angel ornament for the Christmas tree. Residents and staff put the ornament on the tree with her family to honor Catherine’s memory. Catherine will always be The Regency’s special angel.
