Erica Ferrara, our Safe Harbor Director, and staff held a I AM BEAUTIFUL day of Beauty . Residents sat around tables lined with mirrors and the perfect ingredients for a relaxing facial. Step by step, residents followed the cues on giving themselves mini-facials with a roller to keep their hair out of their faces. Residents loved using jade face rollers, masks and even using gua sha stones.
When the facials were completed, residents held onto the mirrors, as that was the most important tool of the event. One by one residents were asked to say one POSITIVE word about the person they see in the mirror looking back at them. “Beautiful!”, Resident Mei Fleischer said proudly. As the resident said their word, other residents and staff replied, “You are beautiful!” “I had tears of happiness rolling down my checks. They were so supportive of each other! “, Camille Cordero, a Safe Harbor team member shared. Hands down, we have the most beautiful, strongest and smartest residents and staff around.
